The Superb Law Firm was founded by Ian Superb in 1963. Since then we have been serving the Rio Grande Valley. The firm has included several partners in it's 40 year history, two of whom have been appointed to the judiciary, and four who have been elected to public office. In 1998 Sara Gomez, Lamar Lawford, and Chin-Lee Wei became fixtures here.

In the year 2000, to commemorate the new century we became known as the Superb Law Firm. We are prepared to be of service to you no matter where you are, though our immediate practice is in the Rio Grande Valley. Ms. Gomez is well qualified with over 275 criminal defense trials experience in federal courts and is trilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and French. She is board certified in criminal law and sought for representation all across the United States.

Mr. Lawford is our civil litigation specialist and has argued two cases before the Supreme Court of Texas. Mr. Wei is a native of Taiwan who has practiced for over 20 years in the area of corporate law and also services complex immigration cases. Ian Superb, who recently handled the celebrated case of Giubistanus vs Aleganti is on leave of absence until mid 2004 due to family matters in London, but his cases are at this time in the able hands of the other attorneys. He is also working on a third text book that will be used in law schools across the nation.

When he is in the country Mr. Superb is the lead attorney in all federal criminal defense cases handled by our firm. On a historical note, Mr. Superb was nominated for a federal judge position under President Reagan but refused the appointment in favor of devoting time to the practice.
